We really value our ethical 'the price is the price' approach. In normal circumstances, therefore, we don't charge any other fees.

Is there a joining fee?

No.

Is there an exit fee?

No - and nor do we use nasty 'lock-in' contracts.

When could other fees be payable?

Membership plans (Member Promise 2020 and Solar Promise 2020)

  • 10c/day surcharge (excl GST) where a valid payment method hasn't been provided to us
  • $16 late payment fee

Simple Saver plan

  • 40c/day surcharge (excl GST) where a valid payment method hasn't been provided to us. We reckon this is much more transparent and lower cost than losing a so-called 'pay on time discount'
  • $16 late payment fee

Save Me plan

  • 1% fee for card payments
  • No fees for direct debit or bpay
  • $13 late payment fee

Paper bills
We charge a $2 fee for each (please note that this fee is no longer payable in NSW following some market rule changes).

Fees that may be charged by your distributor

I need a different type of service from the local network company
In certain situations you might need your network company to undertake some less common work, like moving the connection to your property due to a re-build. All we can guarantee is that they'll charge for it. Whatever they charge, we'll pass it on at cost price. We list some of the fees on our here but it's also worth contacting your network company directly in advance of this work.
